Windows Fatal Error - iLok, Reaper or VST Problem?

Only reason I can think of for problem is using USB ports on hub instead of main PC/Motherboard port. Even then, maybe problems _ maybe not. Whole idea is usually to take iLok from place to place .... should work in most cases. Move mine from DAW #1 to DAW #2 routinely and no issues so far.

I haven't had any problems with ilok but I do dread having it on my system. I simply cannot do without some of the plugins, however.

They got me a while back with that Eventide freebie (UltraChannel, I believe). Just know you're not alone! :D :cool:

I hear you Richie. I'd rather stick to simple keyfile protection but there are so many devs using so many drm methods it's hard to avoid the dongle. I finally caved into elicenser when xils was offering the poly kb ii for half price a few months ago with the nks compatability. I won't go down the ilok road again though. Had a serious issue with that software intermittently shutting down my system and zero customer support. I don't fault anyone who does use ilok but that's where I draw the line. There are awesome plugs that are ilok only but I have to use alternatives.

For sure. Each to their own .... Synthogy Ivory II is my strong piano VSTi choice and iLok required. Some others as well .... AIR Music Tech, Soundtoys, Softube, No serious problems either on Win10 Pro 64. Vienna Symphonic Library requires eLicenser and may have to go there as well :(
