I talked to a couple of studio managers in the last week, and when I asked what software they were using, both said 'PT' but in a really apologetic way. When I said I prefer REAPER one guy answered with - 'Yeah! I love it, before we set up the studio I used REAPER exclusively'. (The other one was into ableton, but that place is more a teaching facility) This is very different to what I used to hear just 4-5 years ago.
I'm often complaining against several remaining issues (mainly UI and workflow related) but I can only agree to vanhaze post at this point. So, congrats for the great job which indeed makes Reaper, at each new version, approaching more and more the big corporate products. This, while avoiding us all the bloat and the nightmares related to installation, authorization and maintenance processes. :)
bug found - Preferences>Editing behavior>Envelope Display - Check the tips when hovering over "Multiple points" and "Media items". They're swapped. EDIT - the tooltips are right, the toggles are swapped. Left one does item edges, middle does points, right is ripple edit.
Thanks for the update. Kind of related thing here, where the checkbox doesn't match the function: Snap/Grid Settings (right click either toolbar button) has the Selection and Cursor checkboxes' functionality reversed.
